I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Latter-Day. This is my first blog. My goal is to share with you about my religion.
For starters we believe that Joseph Smith restored the true church of Jesus Christ after centuries of apostacy.
We believe ourselves to be christians. We believe in the Bible. We also believe that God have given us addition light and truth by way of the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and, the Pearl of Great Price. which my the way you can read for free at www.lds.org. Just log on to the site, click gospel library, then scroll down to scriptures and click on that.
We believe that we have living apostles and prophets today. We believe in marriage and families after death. We also believe that we lived in heaven as spirit children of our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother before the Earth was formed. We also are taught that Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother had physical bodes of flesh and bone and we at that time were only spirit. We wanted to be like our mother and father. With this in mind our heavenly parents devised a plan in which we could become like our heavenly parents. They did this also so we would have a chance to prove our selves worthy to be with them for ever
We believe that when we die we do not go straight to Heaven or hell but rather to a holding tank called the spirit world. When there we await resurrection. Once we are resurrected we are then judged and send to one of four kingdoms. Celestial, terrestrial, telestial, and outer darkness. The first is for the good people, the second is the good people but they didn’t do quite exactly what they were supposed to, the third is where the really nasty sinner go, and the fourth is where the really nasty sinner go when they had a perfect knowledge of the gospel and rebelled against it. Only Satan and his angels will go to outer darkness.
We do not sacrfice animals or have sex in the temple, that is a myth. What we do do is saving ordinances or both the living and for and behalf of the dead. We do not baptise actual dead bodies. But rather a living person enters the waters of baptism and is baptized for and behalf of that dead person.
We do not believe in any kind of sexual relations before marriage, gambling, illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco, coffee , tea or pornography.
We also believe that some day when we make the most of what words Heavenly Father have given us, he will give us more light and truth by way of more scriptures.
Please feel free to ask me any questions about my religion.
